1962: born Aug. 4 in Sacramento, CA
1968: makes first TV appearance as guest on local KOVR Channel 13 kids' show Captain Delta
1974: begins listening to Sacramento radio stations, begins writing songs
1976: learns to play guitar
1978: hears all Beatles weekend on Earth Radio and becomes Beatle fan
1980: takes on-air radio course at Rio Americano High School, working with future TV actress Jane Sibbett (Herman's Head, Friends)
1980: enrolls in American River College and begins work as a mobile DJ
1982: enrolls in California State University, Sacramento
1984: enters KWOD FM as intern, gets weekend air-shift within 6 months
1984: graduates from CSUS with B.A. in Communications
1988: becomes Music Director/10p-2a Air Personality at KWOD
1989: records song "Waves On The West Coast" with producer Harrison Price, a top requested song on KWOD
1991: named Program Director/10a-2p Air Personality at KWOD
1995: leads KWOD to its highest ratings ever as an alternative station
1995: named "Broadcaster of the Week" in Billboard (12/9 issue)
1996: Beat Villains play frequently in Sacramento for the next year featuring drummer Jimmy Brasier
1997: begins writing for radio industry trade magazine VirtuallyAlternative
1997: moves to Milwaukee, WI to be Operations Manager/9a-12n Air Personality at WLUM
1999: forms Sacramento's first 24 hour streaming internet radio station, SacLive
2000: moves to the San Francisco Bay Area
2003: launches music project Tangent Sunset
2004: writes The Legend of KZAP and autobiography The Rise of Alternative Radio
2004: begins working on "Energy 92.7" (KNGY) in San Francisco.
2005: begins podcast shows, which are aired on KYOU Radio in San Francisco.
2006: moves to Palm Springs, CA area to program 97.7 KRCK and host midday show from June through December
2007: moves to San Diego area in January and begins creating Playlist Research in May before moving back to Sacramento
2008: works as Public Relations Coordinator and Web Developer for SolarRoofs.com
2008: begins to release songs from album Sonic Rain
2010: Tangent Sunset stays in Sacramento's top ten alternative chart most of the year on ReverbNation.com.
2011: gets media coverage for free online book Indie Revelations.
2012: begins presenting videos on new site SacTV.com launched Dec, 5, 2011.
2013: briefly moves to Reno, Nevada.
2014: returns to San Diego area and continues freelance writing service for various websites.
2015: launches Nu Pop Culture to showcase wider variety of writing.
2016: completes fourth KWODZAP video album.
2020: returns to Sacramento.
